Taskforce (AI project manager)

1. Purpose

These terms set out how you may use the Taskforce app (iOS and macOS) and its server (the "Service") during the beta. The Service is provided by 태스크포스, a sole proprietorship in the Republic of Korea (business registration number 687-30-01972) ("we", "us").

2. The Service

  1. The Service finds the work you committed to in meeting notes, messages, and email from services you connect (such as Notion, Google, and Slack), keeps it organized, updates it when due dates or scope change, and shows the quote each task came from. When you ask for a draft for a task (such as an email or document), the AI writes it and saves it in the app (during the beta, only on accounts we enable).
  2. The Service is a beta. Features may change or be removed, it may contain errors, and we may end the beta.
  3. New accounts can try the Service free and then choose an optional paid subscription as described below. Existing free beta access is preserved under section 2A.8.
  4. The Service is distributed through TestFlight or as a Mac installer file the Company provides directly. If you use TestFlight, Apple's terms also apply.

2A. Optional paid subscriptions

  1. New accounts receive a 7-day, card-free trial starting with their first successful source sync. The trial includes $1 of AI processing in total and does not convert to a paid subscription automatically.
  2. Subscriptions cost USD $9.99 per account per month or USD $101.90 per account per year (15% off USD $119.88 for twelve monthly payments, rounded to the nearest cent), plus applicable taxes shown at checkout. Annual subscriptions are charged in one payment. Payment starts immediately when you complete checkout, including during a trial, and renews automatically until cancelled.
  3. Both plans include $3 of AI processing per UTC calendar month, resetting on the first day of each month. Unused allowance does not roll over. AI requests reserve their verified maximum cost until the provider confirms the actual cost; reserved and confirmed costs count toward the allowance. AI processing pauses if the remaining allowance cannot cover a request. There are no automatic overage charges. Saved tasks remain available to view and manage.
  4. Payments are sold and processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record under its Buyer Terms. Taskforce receives the payment confirmation and subscription status, and enables access for the Taskforce account that opened checkout. Use the same account on the website and Mac app.
  5. Cancel future renewals in Account → Manage subscription, or at Manage subscription, before your renewal date. Access continues until the paid period ends unless the payment is refunded. Cancellation alone does not refund an unused period. If you need help cancelling, contact us at least 48 hours before renewal.
  6. For a refund request, duplicate charge, or failure to receive paid access, contact privacy@taskforcelabs.dev with your order number. Requests are reviewed according to the circumstances, Lemon Squeezy's buyer terms and refund procedures, and applicable law. No clause limits a statutory withdrawal, cancellation, or refund right. A refund may end the paid access it covered.
  7. Account deletion first cancels future renewal. Deletion may be delayed while an open checkout expires or cancellation is confirmed, so that billing is not left active. Deleting an account does not itself request a refund and does not erase transaction records that Lemon Squeezy must retain. Deleting only the app does not cancel a subscription.
  8. This optional subscription offer applies to new accounts and existing users who separately choose it. Existing free beta users keep their free access unless we give at least 30 days' notice and they separately agree to pay. No existing user is enrolled or charged automatically.

3. Agreement and changes

  1. By signing in to the Service, you agree to these terms.
  2. We may change these terms within the limits of applicable law. We will announce changes in the app and on our website at least 7 days before they take effect (30 days for changes that are less favorable to you).
  3. If you do not agree to a change, you may stop using the Service and delete your account. If you keep using the Service after the effective date, you agree to the changed terms.

4. Your account

  1. You create an account with Sign in with Apple, your Google account, or your email address.
  2. You must be at least 14 years old to use the Service.
  3. The beta is not offered to people who live in the European Economic Area (EEA, including the European Union) or the United Kingdom. Please do not sign up from these regions.
  4. Keep your account and devices secure. Tell us right away if you learn your account has been used without permission.
  5. You can delete your account at any time in app → Settings → Delete Account (Mac: Settings → Account → Delete Account). Once deletion completes, it removes your stored app data and cannot be undone. Billing cancellation and limited payment records are described in section 2A and the Privacy Policy.

5. Connections and permissions

  1. Connect only accounts and data you are authorized to use. When you connect data belonging to your company, clients, or other people, you are responsible for confirming that it may be used this way, including processing by external AI. Do not connect a service if your organization's rules prohibit connecting it to outside services.
  2. The Service only reads from connected services. It never sends email or changes events, documents, or messages.
  3. Your use of connected services (such as Notion, Google, and Slack) is also subject to their terms. Connections may stop working because of their policy changes, outages, or revoked or expired permissions (for example, a Gmail connection may need to be reconnected if Google authorization is revoked or expires).
  4. How we process source text, send it to external AI, and retain and delete it is described in our Privacy Policy.

6. AI results

  1. The Service uses AI to find tasks, due dates, and owners. AI results can be wrong or incomplete. It may miss a task, treat someone else's task as yours, or misread a due date. Drafts the AI writes can also be wrong or incomplete.
  2. Check the evidence quote and the original source before relying on anything important. The Service does not replace the original record (the notes, email, or messages).
  3. The Service writes no draft you did not ask for, and never sends email or writes to a connected service on your behalf. A draft you ask for is only saved in the app; reviewing, using, or sending it is your choice and responsibility. "Hand off to AI" only packages context as text; using that text in another tool is also your choice and responsibility.

7. Your content

  1. You (or the original rights holder) keep all rights to the sources you connect and the tasks created from them. We process them only as needed to provide the Service.
  2. We do not use your content to train AI models.

8. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

  1. Connect accounts or data you are not authorized to use, or use the Service with someone else's account
  2. Bypass access controls of the Service or connected services, or place excessive load on our servers
  3. Reverse engineer the Service or use it in bulk by automated means
  4. Use the Service in a way that violates the law or the rights of others

If we find such conduct, we may restrict your use after notifying you. In urgent cases we may restrict first and notify you afterwards.

9. Changes to and suspension of the Service

  1. We may change or suspend all or part of the Service for reasons such as running the beta, policy changes by connected services, or maintenance.
  2. If we end the beta or discontinue the Service, we will announce it in the app and on our website 30 days in advance, or as soon as possible when that is not feasible.

10. Limitation of liability

  1. The Service is provided as a beta, without any warranty that it is fit for a particular purpose or free of errors.
  2. We are not liable for damage caused by the following, except damage caused by our intent or gross negligence:
    • Following an AI result that was wrong or incomplete without checking it
    • Outages, policy changes, or expired permissions of connected services
    • Connecting data without authorization, or failing to keep your account secure
    • Events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters
  3. Nothing in these terms limits rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

11. Governing law and disputes

  1. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
  2. If you have a dispute about the Service, please contact privacy@taskforcelabs.dev first and we will work with you in good faith. If it cannot be resolved, either party may bring a claim in the court with jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
